How to install your new Solenoid Your Cyborg should already be apart after removing your old solenoid for return to MacDev. Set aside the grip and begin with the main body. Step 1: Remove your old valve side lock screw, hammer guide locator and any other parts you have attached to the bottom of the marker (except you should leave the vertical ASA on). Discard the old hammer guide locator and valve side lock screw. Make sure you do not mix these parts with the new ones. Step 2: Push the new hammer guide locator into the body of the gun. Step 3: Lay the new subplate onto the Cyborg body. The side with long o-ring paths goes against the Cyborg body. There is a large hole that lines up with the valve side lock screw, use this to make sure the plate is on correctly. The hammer guide locator fits through a hole in the centre of the subplate. Screw the new valve side lock screw into the gun, you will find that it will hold one side of the subplate down - do not tighten it yet. Step 4: Use a small stainless steel screw from your old subplate to affix the other end of the subplate to the body. Tighten both this screw and the valve side lock screw. NOTE: these screws do not need to be too tight, just firm. If you overtighten these, you run the risk of stripping threads or the heads of screws. Step 5: Mount the new solenoid onto the subplate using the two screws provided. You will notice that the side of the solenoid with wires coming out of it, goes against the subplate, and there is a cutdown section on the plate to allow for these wires. The wires should push out the side of the subplate. When holding the gun as if ready to shoot, they should be sticking out the left hand side of the plate. Step 6: Fit the frame back onto the Cyborg as usual. Take care not to pinch any wires. Your new Solenoid is ready to use – go out and shoot some faces off!
