PRIOR TO DISASSEMBLY, DEGAS THE BOTTLE COMPLETELY!!! ALL AIR MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE SYSTEM OR THE BONNET CANNOT BE REMOVED. ALL REPAIR PARTS MUST BE PURE ENERGY® BRAND ONLY OR WARRANTY IS VOID! Your Pure Energy® tank is completely rebuildable. Repairs that ususally need to be done using special tools can be done by any qualified technician with a few common tools. Do not ever remove the Gas Distribution Body (1) from the tank itself. All internal parts are accessed by unscrewing the Bonnet (8) from the Gas Distribution Body. To remove the Bonnet, first remove the two 10-32 locking screws (18) with a 3/32 hex key. When the two locking screws are completely removed, unscrew the Bonnet. Thread locking compound was not used, so do not apply heat! If the Bonnet does not easily unscrew, a 1 & 7/64 (1.110”) collet or a set of soft jaws in a vise can be used to hold the Bonnet. After the Gas Distribution Body and Bonnet have been separated the Belleville Spring Pack (2), Piston Assembly (4) and Output Pin Valve (6) components can be removed. Replace the Reg Seat and both O-rings on the piston (19).
FEEL THE PRESSURE
To reassemble, lubricate both piston O-rings using Air Tool Oil. DO NOT USE TRADITIONAL FIRE ARM OIL! Re-install the Output Pin Valve & Spring, and carefully push the Piston Assembly into the Piston bore in the Bonnet. The Piston must be properly seated in the Bonnet before proceeding further.

Place the Belleville Springs over the small end of the Piston in the correct order. Do not apply excessive torque when screwing the Bonnet and Gas Distribution Body together. The Fill Nipple (16) and Check Strut (15) are the only other serviceable items. When installing the Fill Nipple, DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN. Over-tightening will limit the available Strut travel, and cause failures of the O-ring on the Check strut. Always check Strut travel after installation. Shake the bottle to be sure you hear the strut moving back and forth.

Your Pure Energy ® Reactor™ Preset Regulator is equipped with the industry standard “QD Style” fill fitting, allowing your system to be refilled either on or off the marker. Your Pure Energy ® Reactor™ Preset Regulator system may be filled with either Clean, Dry Compressed Air or Nitrogen. There will not be a noticeable difference in your marker’s performance. Use only properly rated fill fitings or assemblies when refilling your Pure Energy ® Air Systems. Fill through the fill fittings or assemblies when refilling your Pure Energy ® Air System. Fill through the fill fitting only. Your Pure Energy ® Air System is covered by a one year limited manufacturers warranty, which does not cover o-rings, abuse or neglect. FOR 4500 & 5000 PSI SYSTEM
PMI recommends filling your Pure Energy ® N 2 tank no faster than 100 psi per second. Filling your tank too quickly can cause your fill nipple to fail. More importantly, fast fills are dangerous to both the regulator and tank and can lead to catastrophic failure.
THE SELECTION YOU DESERVE
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD ANY POWER SYSTEM BE REFILLED WITH PURE OXYGEN. If the 1800 psi safety burst disk vents, it did so for a reason. We recommend you do the following: Refer to the service procedures and clean dirt and debris from the regulator. Inspect the internal o-rings (10 & 11) for damage or dirt. Inspect the regulator seat (3) for damage or dirt. Replace all worn Connecting Your Power System or damaged parts. Because your Pure Energy® Reactor™ Preset Regulator is factory set to deliver gas at normal CO 2 pressure, there is no “setup” or user adjustment required. Your Pure Energy® Reactor™ Preset Regulator system simply screws into your marker’s ASA fitting, just like the CO 2 bottle it’s replacing. It has a “pin valve” type output valve which shuts off the gas delivery when the power system is removed from the marker. There is now a 500 psi drop in kit available for any rebuildable Pure Energy ® Air System. This kit takes your pressure down to 500 psi and is perfect for low pressure paintball markers. Safety is our priority and should be yours too. All tanks should be filled by qualified personnel only. Keep fill nipples clean and dirt free. To prolong the life of your air system, purchase nipple caps and remove only when filling. When traveling use a valve cap to prevent damage to threads. Precaution now, pr events repair later.
